This is a very old, very new sport. It is a sport for those of the do-it-yourself persuasion. We play a traditional sport with a modern interpretation of the rules; We play bicycle polo on hard courts using a hockey ball and homemade equipment. A game for the intrepid. We’re not an organised sport and we like it that way. Reflecting back on the last few years of UK bike polo a common thread emerges. Independence. Creativity. Self reliance. I am biased but I think polo people are some of the best people on this planet.
